Help find the Franklin’s Bumble Bee

If you’re in Southern Oregon or Northern California, you might be able to help in the search for a species of bee that is, at best, endangered and, at worst, extinct.

The Franklin’s bumble bee (Bombus Franklini) is endemic to this region and has not been seen in 15 years.

You can learn more at this free online program from the Xerces society.

I wrote a full-length play inspired in part by this bee and the scientist who devoted to many years to finding it: Robin Thorp.

You can read more about the play here.
